Pressure transfer bottle

Code: R1100-18

The type R1100-18 Pressure Transfer Bottle is used to separate high viscosity, high temperature or aggressive line fluids from contact with instruments or controllers such as the ESME type R88 pilot. It interposes an inert liquid – the sensing fluid – between the line fluid and the instrument of controller sensing head allowing variations in line pressure to be transmitted and removing the problems of viscosity, temperature and corrosion in the pressure sensing instrument.

These bottles are recommended for use with the ESME type R88 pilot when the viscosity of the line fluid exceeds 450 seconds Redwood No. 1 or the line fluid temperature exceeds 200ºC. When using water based sensing fluids, care should be taken that freezing does not occur. Heat tracing or the use of antifreeze compounds in the sensing liquid must be used if freezing is a possibility. Heat tracing in the connection between the type R1100-18 and the line should be considered heated high viscosity fluids are being controlled.

The type R1100-18 is for use only with pressure sensing equipment it cannot be used for temperature sensing instruments.
