Actuator Type R836

ESME pneumatic actuators are spring and diaphragm types designed to provide control or on/off action for the various ESME control valve bodies. These actuators operate smoothly and accurately when supplied with the appropriate pneumatic signal from controllers or the output from valve positioners.

ESME actuators feature a reinforced moulded diaphragm to give linearity of output in relation to loading pressure and the low volume of the pressure side of the diaphragm casing reduces capacitance effects of dead-band to a minimum.

The yoke and spring casing is carbon steel and has mounting pads for accessories on either side. The diaphragm covers are pressed steel or cast aluminium depending on actuator size. The bore of the mounting yoke is large enough to allow removal of the actuator without disturbing the packing gland assembly.

Rage springs in alloy steel are available for standard and split ranges and spring adjustment can be carried out by a standard open jawed spanner.

Air moves the stem upwards, spring force moves the stem downwards.
