Type R1490 valves are high capacity spring operated upstream pressure or relief regulators of packless gland design. They will control within close limits oil, water, steam and gases and are especially suited for those applications where surplus pressure must be controlled by passing excess fluid back to a pump suction or supply tank.
Double seat bodies are standard but balanced single seat and single seat constructions are available for those applications where a lower capacity is required from a specified body size. At extra charge all sizes above 1″ are available with composition set for tight closure and metal seat valves can be hand lapped to achieve leakage class III in accordance with ANSI/FCI 70-2. Actuators in five sizes are standard for relief settings between 0.007-20 barG and can be supplied for external sensing if required.
The Type R1490 is available in the following variations:
