Upstream pressure relief regulator, high lift

Code: R1490HL

Type R1490 high lift (HL) valves are high capacity spring operated pressure reducing valves of packless gland design, with extended spring chamber to accommodate longer springs for extra capacity. They will control downstream pressure within close limits and are suitable for use with oil, water, air, steam and gases or any fluid compatible with the materials of construction.

Double seat bodies are standard but balanced single seat and single seat constructions are available for those applications where a lower capacity is required from a specified body size. At extra charge all sizes above 1″ are available with composition seat for tight closure, and metal seat valves can be hand lapped to achieve leakage class III in accordance with ANSI/FCI 70-2. Actuators in two sizes are standard to cover the controlled range between 0.2 – 9.3 barG and can be supplied for external sensing if required.

The Type R1490 is available in the following variations:

  • Differential
  • Relief Control – To NACE MR-01-75 (Rev. 93)
  • Cryogenic Service.
